Daedalus Reef (Abu El Kizan)Around 180Km south from the Brothers and 96Km south west of Marsa Alam is a submerged reef topped by a lighthouse with a long causeway, similar to that of Sanganeb in the Sudan. Around 800m across Daedalus' steep walls of hard corals are swept by, often, strong currents and cruised by various species of ray and shark. Thresher and schooling Scalloped Hammerheads are frequent visitors and there's a chance of the occasional Manta. There is also a large concentration of colourful anemones with resident clownfish to rival Ras Mohammed's Anemone City.
