Diving the Maldives' Southern Ari AtollMany of the dive sites in the Maldives' Southern Ari Atoll are located in relatively large channels (Kandus), often on the South Eastern corner. There are a number of coral heads (Thilas or Giris) that are popular dives for their soft corals and as magnets for large numbers of fish. Southern Ari Atoll also has one of the Maldives' best known manta points Hukuruelhi Faru, aka Madivaru. Plus Maamigili renouned for the sheer numbers of whale sharks regularly found there.
