Since 2005 Sipadan Island itself has been closed to overnight stays. As a result liveaboard diving has become a real alternative to a shorebased holiday in the Celebes Sea. For divers looking for easy access and max bottom time on Sipadan and its local reefs a liveaboard is a great option.
