North of the ancient port of Berenice and the Ras Banas peninsula is the small bedouin village of Hamata. Hamata has a small harbour and the 3Km long Lahami Bay, out from which lie the legendary reefs of Fury Shoals.

Located on Lahami Bay the Lahami Bay Beach Resort is set amongst gardens of pools, waterfalls and bright coloured Bougainvillea. Good facilities offer variety in this remote corner of the Egptian Red Sea. The dive team from Barakuda are professional and experienced.
